Diocesan Safe Environment Requirements

To all Managers, Coaches and Assistants,
As some of you already know, the Diocese requires all of its volunteers/employees (in contact with the children) must complete a Virtus class, sign a code of conduct and submit a background check as part of the Safe Environment program. Most of you have already completed one or more of the requirements. If you have not completed all of the requirements it is imperative that you do so as soon as possible. Please contact me if you are not sure of your status.

Completed forms can be submitted to a member of the Sports Committee. You can also drop off your completed forms at the Rectory in an envelope marked “Sports Program – Virtus Forms”.
Virtus
As per Fr. Devlin, all Sports Program volunteers must take the Virtus “Protecting God’s Children for Adults” session by December 1st. For your convenience we have scheduled a session on Tuesday, November 17th at 7:30pm in the school basement. In order to register for this or any other Virtus session, please go to the Virtus website at www.virtus.org/virtus/, click on the “Registration” link on the left side menu and follow the registration instructions. Unfortunately if you have not completed the class by December 1st your volunteer activity with the children will be suspended.
